The cutting edge of video technology:
Our DVDs are created in our studio one at a time in our Pioneer A04 Super Drive DVD burner using Apple's IDVD 2 software. The DVD-R disks we create are slightly different than the commercial movie disks you rent at your local video store and not all DVD players can read DVD-Rs. Most brand name players produced in the last year or so will play any type of DVD or CD disk.

We have greatly improved the quality of our DVDs and they now play successfully on most players. Just be aware that we cannot test all combinations of players and can only offer a guide list to which players will work.

Players from Pioneer, Panasonic, and Sony seem to have the least playability issues. Newer decks that can play back a variety of DVD and CD disk formats are fully compliant with the DVD standard. Most players manufactured in 2002 will be far more compliant with the complete DVD standard than in the past. Beggining in late 2002, DVD decks will carry a new DVD logo which will have the word - MULTI - which means they will play a variety of videos disks including DVD-R disks.
Playback On Your PC:
Our disks will play on any G3 or G4 Macintosh either OS 9 or OS X with a DVD-R drive. If your Mac has one of the rare DVR-RAM drives, you CANNOT play our disks.
If your Windows PC has a DVD-R dirve, running Windows ME,2000, NT or XP, we highly recommend using the following DVD playback software:
Intervideo WINDVD 4.0 (WINDVD 3.0 has audio problems)
Cyberlink Power DVD 4
These excellent software packages can playback any DVD, VCD, or CD. Early Windows DVD playback software works fine with commercial DVDs, but will not work with any other type of video DVD disk. If you have any questions or any doubts, just order the VHS tape versions.
DVD FAQ:
Q:How do I know the DVD will play in my home player or personal computer?
A: Our DVDs will play in most current DVD players sold in the past year. Please check our compatibility chart to see if your brand of player is on the list. Name brand players that play a variety of disk formats like CDs and MP3 disks have a better chance of playing our DVD-Rs.
NOTE: If your player is over 2 years old, you will likely experience problems playing our DVDs. Some early players and new players are not fully compliant with the DVD standard.
You can always return a disk for a full refund LESS shipping if it is returned in good condition10 days after receiving it. Even if your newer player may not be on list, our disks most likely will play fine but we can offer NO guarantees that the DVDs will play corretly. Our DVDs will play in any DVD equipted Macintosh. Windows PC's with a DVD-Rom, DVD Burner, or Super Drive should play our DVDs. NOTE: There have been some customer reports of lock ups using older versions of Windows 98/ 2000/ ME. The Windows DVD player with non-XP machines is very unstable when playing back DVD-R's . (what did you expect!) Windows XP has a much more robust DVD player and seems to handle DVDRs much better.

Q: Can your DVDs be played in countries other than the U.S.?
A: Although the US uses the NTSC video standard and most of Europe and other countries use the PAL format, DVDs are UNIVERSAL in format. 95% of DVD players sold in non-US countries can play NTSC or PAL DVDs just fine. Canada and Japan use NTSC television so our disks will play in most DVD players.
If you live outside the US, we highly recommend you test your home DVD player with a NTSC US made disk first or read your DVD player users manual carefully! If you rent or buy DVDs from the US in NTSC format and they work on your player, then our disk should work too.
Most PC's DVD disk drive can play either NTSC or PAL DVDs with out a problem. ( see notes above) You can return the disk to us for a refund less shipping if you cannot get the disk to play properly.

Q:Are your DVDs Region Coded for different countries?
A: Most Hollywood DVDs have region codes to prevent a disk from being played in different countries. Our disks do not have this region code so they should play in any country.

Q: How are your DVD versions better than the standard VHS tapes?
A: DVD-Digital Video disks provide superior video images that are at least twice as clear as VHS videotape. DVD uses up to 500 lines of horizontal resolution vs. 240 lines of horizontal resolution for VHS resulting in noticeably sharper and clearer pictures. All our films except for Endless Lift 1 & 2 were shot and edited digitally at DVD resolution so what you see on our DVDs is very similar in quality to the original digital masters. The audio tracks are also improved with better than CD sound quality. DVDs also last longer and to do not wear out like VHS tapes.

Q: How come the DVD versions of your films cost more than the tape versions?
A:There is more involved in creating a DVD disk than with a VHS tape. Each DVD is manufactured at our studio using the latest in DVD creation tools. Our DVD products feature much better image quality, include special features not avialable on the tapes, and you get full color packaging as well. You might see DVD titles cheaper at your discount store, but remember that the big studios buy millions of copies at a time reducing the price. We just cannot do that with our specialty films.

Q: Do your DVDs have any special features like multiple camera angles, captioning, or foreign language tracks?
A: Our disks are pretty basic for now and feature interactive menus only. You will get bonus tracks, slide shows, or other features, but not the fancy Hollywood stuff that you might find on a DVD of Planet of the Apes.
